As far as income streams for my site, I'm going to use Amazon and ShareaSale for my products (and investigate if there are others) and put Google Adsense on the site (for now). After building the site up a bit I'm thinking of adding a private ad part to the site. I'm not sure what the market is like for private sales of ads in the health related industries, but it seems to do well for affiliate marketers/make money people - so I'll see if I can replicate that luck with my site.

I think having an ebook to sell is great, because all the profit is yours, you don't have to share it with any agencies. Which is great - you could try that, and then branch out if you're looking to add your eggs to more than one basket (so to speak).

Has anyone else thought about their income streams?

Thanks, Empress!

I have done some keyword research and my domain and hosting are now up and running. That means it's time for the interesting stuff such as designing a good website and adding content to it. Fortunately, I have decent articles that I can adapt for my locale. That should work as a good springboard.

The next thing to figure out, is how to make money: Adsense or another ad network, affiliate marketing, selling an e-book, ... Based on the topic, I think option 1 and 3 are the most promising.

Have you picked your income streams or are you not sure yet?

Great to see you here Tom! (I've upgraded your status to Author - so you should now be able to post here at the site - let me know if you have any problems with that).

Personally I'm still on the researching keyword end of things, and like you I'd like to see the site make up it's hosting and domain name. Even though it's been running for a while - it's a very sad site, with little attention given to it from keywords or good content. So with this challenge I'm hoping to change all that and see some money come in.

So... yes, I'm working on keyword research then write 10 articles this month and dust off a new theme for the site. A lot to do and a few weeks left to do it in. I'm not expecting any money to come in this month - 3 months... fingers crossed!

Hi all,

I'd like to join the challenge. I picked up a package from Gary and I am going to use that as a base for a health-related website. It's about eating disorders, so that fits the theme. Of course, I start 5 days late, so I hope to catch up with you quickly :). I have built quite a few sites before, but I don't have much experience in making a website that generates income. Therefore, I have set my goal to recoup package, domain and hosting costs before the domain expires, which is in roughly 4 months. So that translates to 5 euros a month. I am not planning to, but should I fail, at least I have learnt a lot.

First thing for me to do, is to research a domain name, register it and get a website up.

At what stage are the rest of you? What's your progress?
